Wet n Wild Week - The Gold & The Beautiful

Image
Wet n Wild Week continues. The polish I am showing you today is The Gold & The Beautiful. This is a perfect gold glitter polish. It is fairly dense as far as glitter goes. This gold polish is a touch lighter than Sinful Colors All About You but they are fairly similar. This is two coats of The Gold & The Beautiful. This polish name is obviously a play on The Bold & The Beautiful soap opera. I personally have never watched that show but I do find myself sucked into some soaps here and there. It is one of my guilty pleasures among many. I have a thing for horrible reality shows as well but that is another day! I Caved! Revlon - Facets of Fuchsia

Image
So I like most of you caved and had to get the dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance. I probably would have wanted the Deborah Lippmann polish so thanks Revlon for creating Facets of Fuchsia. Nothing against Deborah because I actually got one her polishes from apothica and it arrived a few days ago and it is already on my fingers. It is gorgeous and I am already planning my next buy from her line. I have to say this polish is pretty gorge! This was two coats of Facets of Fuchsia over one coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme. I want to wear this polish again because I have seen a lot of girls matte this polish and I think it looks super cool. I also have my $1.00 off Revlon cosmetics coupon from Target so I might go and pick up the pink glitter one or maybe the blue. I have to see them in person again to see if I really need them. Who knows, I may need them both.

Jelly Sammich - B-Day Mani 1st Choice

Image
So I wanted to show you what my first b-day mani was until I decided that I would try the Cupcake Mani. I love me a great Jelly Sandwich and I have had this Sally Hansen In The Spotlight Glitter forever and have not used it. I soon found why I have left it sitting forever. It's beyond hard to get the glitter from the bottle to the nail. I had to do about 3 coats which ended up looking like I had a double decker sandwich on my nails because of the thickness. I used a base of Revlon Royal and then layered 3 coats of Sally Hansen In the Spotlight on top of that. I then finished off my mani by using one more very thin layer of Revlon Royal. You can tell in the bottle more that this glitter is long rectangular holographic glitter. While it is beautiful it is not practical if you ever want your mani to dry! I am glad I tried the cupcakes because while this is beautiful it is not cupcake material.

Finger Paints - Art You Wondering?

Image
Happy Sunday to everyone. Today I have for you a new polish I picked up at Sally's the other day. Finger Paints were buy two get one free. I actually debated over this color for far too long. I have no idea what I was thinking because this polish is amazing! Art You Wondering? is made up of aqua and sea foam green glitter. Blurred for sparklevision    I used 3 coats of Art You Wondering?, and one coat of Seche Vite! I finally got my first bottle of Seche the other day and I have to say I am in love. I'm kinda pissed I did not find out about this stuff earlier. I also learned that Seche and OPI Drip Dry do not mix. I always use my Drip Dry but I have found it is very temperamental with other brand's top coats. I later found out, after I ruined that mani, that I don't even need it. It dries so fast! What is your go-to top coat for everyday?

Love My Nails Glitter

Image
I picked up a few Love My Nails glitter polishes awhile back and I tried a few of them recently and wanted to Share. I paired both of these glitters with China Glaze Platinum Silver. Love My Nails Crystal is a clear base with flecks of iridescent glitter and large round holo flecks. Love My Nails All That is a light purple/clear base with purple and silver holo square glitter These glitters were a little difficult to get on the nail but I tried as best as I could. For a dollar I guess I can't be that mad about it. I would definitely try these with some jellies!

Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink

Image
I just bought this polish recently at Walgreen's when they were on sale. I layered it over a coat of OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y. It has so much sparkle to it I love it. Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink has hints of pink, blue, gold, red glitter. I bought this because a girl at work had it and I wanted it! Flash Photo to show the sparkle factor! Love this polish and for $2 it was money well spent!

NYC Starry Silver Glitter

Image
I call these my moon nails. I used Sally Hansen Wet Cement and layered two coats of NYC Starry Silver Glitter. I love how these turned out. The glitter is a collection of small holo glitter and larger blue and lavender-ish flecks. So pretty! Loving this glitter!
