Everbella X&D Shatter Review

Image
Hi Guys! I got the Photoshop itch a couple days back and I have totally overhauled the blog. I hope you guys like it because I DO! Today I have a review for a polish I received from Everbella . This is X&D Red Shatter . This shatter has a very matte finish so for the photo below I am wearing top coat. I actually attempted to do a reverse shatter like I have in the past. The colors were not as close as I thought so it turned out a little different than I had imagined.  For the reverse shatter I alternated Zoya Sooki and OPI Glitzerland. I then reversed X&D Red Shatter and Color Club Gold Shatter. I love the look of reversed shatters. I plan on trying this with a different combo next time. Maybe black and red perhaps?..... X&D Red Shatter retails for $4.99 and can be purchased on Everbella.com . Don't forget to use my exclusive coupon code for %10 off!

I've Got The Blues Week - OPI Blue Shatters

Image
Today is Day 4 of I've Got The Blues Week and I have blue shatters to show you today. First up is OPI Blue Shatter over China Glaze Up All Night. Next up is my favorite OPI Shatter, Navy! I just love the look of this Shatter it resembles ink and love the way it looks. I layered OPI Navy Shatter over Sinful Colors Paradise. I loved how these pairings turned out. My boyfriend loved the Navy Shatter combo as well so I decided to wear it for a full mani. I hope you guys are still enjoying my I've Got The Blues Week series. I am having fun trying to concoct new manis. Tomorrow I have a special treat via  Inspired Nails Decals . Make sure you take advantage of my exclusive 15% Off coupon code!

Reverse Shatters

Happy Monday Everyone! Today I have a manicure that I had seen on another blog. I say another blog because I can not for the life of me find the mani anywhere. I forgot who posted it but I had to try it out myself. Imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery ya know! :) I started off by polishing every other finger with Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter. I then used Wet n Wild Silvivor on the other nails.  On the nails I painted with Tiffany Imposter I used OPI Silver Shatter on them. Then on the nails I painted with Silvivor I used CG Crushed Candy Crackle. I had several people at work that asked me about my nails. They couldn't quite figure it out. I then had to explain which only complicated things further. I have had this in my head for the longest time since seeing it on "someones" blog. It was a super quick mani and I really liked how it turned out. Edited to add: Thank you Paint That Nail that jump started my memory back and let me know that Kellie From Also ...

OPI White Shatter - Tape Mani

Image
So as promised in yesterdays post i did a tape mani! Not that elaborate but I like it anyways. I finally got a chance to use my OPI White Shatter over my Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter. I just taped my nail diagonally and also painted the White Shatter in a diagonal pattern as well. I need to find new things to do with my Shatters. I have so many! I have seen a couple photos out there where people have done interesting things with Shatter but I can't find a tutorial for anything. Have you tried anything interesting with your Shatter polishes?

OPI Blue Shatter

Image
I'm getting around to trying all my OPI Shatters I got. The next shatter I tried was the OPI Blue Shatter. I layered it over e.l.f. Desert Haze. The blue is really pretty and over the nude color it really popped. Side Note: Why do these OPI Shatters have such generic names. I like the fun names of China Glaze Crackles. Just Saying!

OPI Silver Shatter

This is yet another of the shatters I received from my mom. The OPI Silver Shatter was a part of the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection which i have still yet to receive. I paired the silver shatter with Sinful Colors Savage. I really loved the look of the silver shatter. The color is amazing and it is so shiny! Isn't it sparkly? I prefer the sparkle shatters to the plain ones

OPI Turquoise Shatter

Image
Well I am still experimenting with all the shatters my mom got me. I think most of the shatter hype is over so OPI releasing all these colors now seems a bit late. Like I said in my OPI Navy Shatter post I was most excited for the navy. This turquoise color is a GORGEOUS in the bottle and was kind of excited to try it. I decided to layer it with OPI Glitzerland, which is a pale gold color. I didn't hate the results but I think I'm just over shatter. My boss has a great magnetic mani on right now. That will most likely be the new craze. Have you guys tried the turquoise? You like it, if so what is your fave color combo?

OPI Navy Shatter

Image
I got my big care package from my mommy!!! She sent me the whole OPI Shatter Collection. The one that I most wanted was NAVY! She also sent me some minis from Sally's Beauty. While the bottle is unnamed the color is a BRIGHT fuchsia. It was very hard to photograph this color. I always have that problem with neon's.

Black vs. Grey Shatter

Image
OPI Black Shatter China Glaze Crackle Glaze - Cracked Concrete I decided to try out black and gray shatters over my water marble nails to see how they looked. In my last post there was a colorful shatter mani that I really liked. I have to say the black shatter wins hand down. I was excited with the idea of the gray shatter but it is lackluster to say the least. It is is dull flat gray and I have had trouble finding pairings for it because it washes out most of my colors. I guess I'm just still a fan of the black shatter. What are your favorite color combos for shatter?

OPI Black Shatter and China Glaze Golden Enchantment

Image
I have never layered over my shatters but decided sparkles would be perfect. I started with two coats of OPI Glitzerland. I applied a coat of China Glaze Golden Enchantment. I then used my OPI Black Shatter. I finished the look off with another coat of Golden Enchantment. I always use two top coats with my shatters to give them a more smooth look. What colors are you trying with your shatter!
