My First Blog Awards!!!

I am so excited that Alana at Something Polished has passed two blog awards on to me. I only started this blog 3 weeks ago in hopes that I could share my nail obsession with everyone else. It is amazing the responses I have got, and I still find it amazing that people actually read it. This has been such a fun experience and I love it! Alana I want to thank you for considering me and I want to thank you so much! :)

Absolute all-time favorite color would have to be blue.

This is such a hard question because it is so hard to pick just one. Anything I can sing to pretty much. I love the Beatles, Doors, but I also listen to top 40 and R&B. I just love it all!

This is easy! Chocolate Moose Tracks Ice Cream
What makes you mad?
People talking down to me makes me so angry. I'm shy though and I avoid confrontation.

Usually call my mom. :)
Your favorite pet:
I'm with Alana on this one. I never really had a favorite pet. I had pets that I really loved as a child but the feeling was never mutual. hahaha!

Black or white?
Black, they do say it is slimming!

Your biggest fear is... :
Failure as well. I am currently in school and my biggest fear is always that I am going to fail horribly. I have yet to do that but it never goes away.

Your best feature is... :
I always get told I have beautiful hair. The perks of having a mother as a hair stylist I guess!

Everyday attitude:
I'm a happy person, I try not to sweat the small stuff and know that God will not give me more than I can handle.

What is perfection?
Perfection to me would be a tropical vacation where the itinerary involves a beach chair and endless supply of margaritas!
Guilty Pleasure:
My guilty pleasure is of course NAIL POLISH!

 
NOW 7 random things about me

  1. I live in a tourist town and work at a Titanic Museum and I know way to much about that damn boat.
  2. I have already found the person I will spend the rest of my life with. My BF and I have been together for 5 years and he is the love of my life!
  3. I always wanted to be a teacher but chose accounting instead. I plan to teach accounting when I have my degree. The best of both worlds!
  4. I love to read and me and the girls at work have like a library of books that circulate between all of us! I'm currently waiting to read the new Fallen book that came out a week or so ago.
  5. I have a huge collection of shoes! My BF works for Nike, who also owns Converse, and lets just say they line the walls in our room!
  6. Obsessed with HGTV! Can't wait to own my own home and decorate it the way I want to!
  7. I love celebrity gossip. I don't know why but I do.

    Water Marble Success

    Happy Friday All! Today I have for you as promised my second full-on attempt of a water marble. If you follow me on Twitter I gave a sneak peak of this last night. I was so excited to show it off.  I have been wanting to try this again since my first time I attempted it. The first time I water marbled it was a disaster. They did not turn out the way I wanted and it literally took me 3 hours to do both hands. It was exhausting to say the least and I was a tad bit apprehensive to try it again. Boy am I glad I DID! Look how freaking cool this turned out. Had to showcase the thumb! L-R Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, Wet Concrete, Mellow Yellow. I used a base of Wet n Wild White Creme under the water marble. I used all Sally Hansen polishes for my water marble. I love this color scheme. My sister told me it looked very 70's. I agree! Many water marble tutorials out there tell you to use room temperature water. I tried that and I could not get the polishes to spread out. I finally u

    Tropical Sunset

    Happy Friday! Well I don't know about you but I wish I was on a beach somewhere. Instead I'm having to settle for nail art sunsets. I have to say this was quite easy to do, but I will say I am only showing you my left hand for a reason. My Thumb = My favorite! I got my inspiration from  IartKandi's YouTube video. Click the link to watch her video. Her tutorial is great and she taught me everything I know. This is the fist time I attempted sponging let along using a stripe brush to make a object. I mean stripes I have done but palm trees, definitely not. It went better than expected and I love the results. L-R  Glitzerland, Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?, Blazed, Dream Poppy, Black Striper, Makeup Sponge I laid down two coats of Glitzerland to make my nail opaque. I then put one coat of Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? over my whole nail. Next came the sponging which was quite fun. I sponged on Blazed first which is a coral so it blended the orange and the pink togeth

    Massive Birthday Haul! (Pic Heavy)

    So I posed the question yesterday if anyone would like to see my ginormous Birthday Hau.! The overall consensus was YES! Some of these polishes were gifts, some I bought, and some were from a swap with a fellow blogger. So without further ado: Steady As She Rose, Skull & Glossbones, Planks A Lot, Mermaid's Tears, Stranger Tides Be A Dahlia Won't You, Come To Poppy, Play The Peonies, I Lily Love You Swimsuit..Nailed It!, It's My Year, Crown Me Already, Congeniality Is My Middle Name Pirates of the Caribbean, Nice Stems, and Miss Universe Collections were gifted to me by my mommy! I love them all! The Pirates Collection is pretty universal as well as seasons go. I have seen a lot of Pirates shades repeated by other brands for their fall collections. I love pink polish so I had to have the Nice Stems Collection because I loved them all equally. The Miss Universe Collection is a big standout for me because the colors are so awesome in person.
