Tropical Sunset

Happy Friday! Well I don't know about you but I wish I was on a beach somewhere. Instead I'm having to settle for nail art sunsets. I have to say this was quite easy to do, but I will say I am only showing you my left hand for a reason.

I got my inspiration from IartKandi's YouTube video. Click the link to watch her video. Her tutorial is great and she taught me everything I know. This is the fist time I attempted sponging let along using a stripe brush to make a object. I mean stripes I have done but palm trees, definitely not. It went better than expected and I love the results.

I laid down two coats of Glitzerland to make my nail opaque. I then put one coat of Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? over my whole nail. Next came the sponging which was quite fun. I sponged on Blazed first which is a coral so it blended the orange and the pink together. I then sponged on the Dream Poppy and finished up with sponging on a couple of coats of Glitzerland on the bottom of my nail to represent "sand". In the YouTube tutorial she uses beautiful blues which I love. Lord knows I have enough blues to do ombre down the street, so I might have to try that one next. I had fun with this one and surprised myself that I could perform nail art that didn't just require cutting tape.

    yup my right hand gets super messy, especially when i do it last lol.. but if i do it first i get bored got it takes forever

    I am psychic I did them just for you. lol. Just kidding but they are super easy it was my first time doing it and I have no art skills at all. I'm talking stick figures are unrecognizable. If I can do it anyone can. Oh and the YouTube video is super helpful.

Water Marble Success

Happy Friday All! Today I have for you as promised my second full-on attempt of a water marble. If you follow me on Twitter I gave a sneak peak of this last night. I was so excited to show it off.  I have been wanting to try this again since my first time I attempted it. The first time I water marbled it was a disaster. They did not turn out the way I wanted and it literally took me 3 hours to do both hands. It was exhausting to say the least and I was a tad bit apprehensive to try it again. Boy am I glad I DID! Look how freaking cool this turned out. Had to showcase the thumb! L-R Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, Wet Concrete, Mellow Yellow. I used a base of Wet n Wild White Creme under the water marble. I used all Sally Hansen polishes for my water marble. I love this color scheme. My sister told me it looked very 70's. I agree! Turning 25 on the 25th! Cupcake Mani

I am 25 Today!!! Well today is my b-day and I had the hardest time trying to figure out what to do with my nails. I even went so far as to ask my followers what to do and the response was cupcakes. I really doubted myself that I could even do it. I sat down with some paper and attempted to do this on paper before I went ahead with my nails. Needless to say it worked out well on paper so to my nails it went. I have to say I absolutely love it! It turned out so well and they actually look like cupcakes. I used quite a few polishes for this mani. The Base of the whole mani is Wet n Wild Tickled Pink. The frosting was made by using Wet n Wild French White Creme. The hearts on top the cupcake are glitter pieces from Love My Nails Crazy For You. I used L.A. Colors Art Deco Black Striper on the bottom of the cupcakes. For the cupcakes I used: Purple - Sinful Colors Beverly Hills Blue - Sinful Colors Paradise Yellow - Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow Pink - China Glaze Shocking Pink Green
