13 Days of Halloween Nails - Day #10 - Ghost & Franken

Hi Guys! A little late of a post today but I had some homework to do. I also sucked it up and went to work today with my back completely out. Let me tell you that was fun! I have for you today a ghostly mani I did using one of my first frankens ever! I started off with a base of Essie Midnight Cami that a fellow blogger Bottle and Bottles of Polish gave me. I then added a coat of my first franken ever that still remains nameless. I made this franken using the bottles of silver holographic glitter that Fantasy Makers had for sale at various places. I actually picked mine up from Walgreen's and of last check they still had some. I barely even used any of the glitter and I have made 3 frankens already. The bottle I am holding in the photo is the franken I used for my ghostly mani. It is just clear base and sparkles. The polish does settle quite a bit (like after a min. actually) but I added some BB's and all is well in franken world.

I made my little ghostly friend up there by using a bobby pin. I wanted him to have a little personality so I gave him a face! I wanted my ghost to look like the ghost in Mario Bros., the ones that chase you if you look away. I know you guys remember what I am talking about. They always sucked, especially when you would grab a drink right before a world started and next thing you know you died because you weren't looking at the ghost. Brings back memories!

Water Marble Success

Happy Friday All! Today I have for you as promised my second full-on attempt of a water marble. If you follow me on Twitter I gave a sneak peak of this last night. I was so excited to show it off.  I have been wanting to try this again since my first time I attempted it. The first time I water marbled it was a disaster. They did not turn out the way I wanted and it literally took me 3 hours to do both hands. It was exhausting to say the least and I was a tad bit apprehensive to try it again. Boy am I glad I DID! Look how freaking cool this turned out. Had to showcase the thumb! L-R Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, Wet Concrete, Mellow Yellow. I used a base of Wet n Wild White Creme under the water marble. I used all Sally Hansen polishes for my water marble. I love this color scheme. My sister told me it looked very 70's. I agree! Many water marble tutorials out there tell you to use room temperature water. I tried that and I could not get the polishes to spread out. I finally u

Tropical Sunset

Happy Friday! Well I don't know about you but I wish I was on a beach somewhere. Instead I'm having to settle for nail art sunsets. I have to say this was quite easy to do, but I will say I am only showing you my left hand for a reason. My Thumb = My favorite! I got my inspiration from  IartKandi's YouTube video. Click the link to watch her video. Her tutorial is great and she taught me everything I know. This is the fist time I attempted sponging let along using a stripe brush to make a object. I mean stripes I have done but palm trees, definitely not. It went better than expected and I love the results. L-R  Glitzerland, Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?, Blazed, Dream Poppy, Black Striper, Makeup Sponge I laid down two coats of Glitzerland to make my nail opaque. I then put one coat of Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? over my whole nail. Next came the sponging which was quite fun. I sponged on Blazed first which is a coral so it blended the orange and the pink togeth

Massive Birthday Haul! (Pic Heavy)

So I posed the question yesterday if anyone would like to see my ginormous Birthday Hau.! The overall consensus was YES! Some of these polishes were gifts, some I bought, and some were from a swap with a fellow blogger. So without further ado: Steady As She Rose, Skull & Glossbones, Planks A Lot, Mermaid's Tears, Stranger Tides Be A Dahlia Won't You, Come To Poppy, Play The Peonies, I Lily Love You Swimsuit..Nailed It!, It's My Year, Crown Me Already, Congeniality Is My Middle Name Pirates of the Caribbean, Nice Stems, and Miss Universe Collections were gifted to me by my mommy! I love them all! The Pirates Collection is pretty universal as well as seasons go. I have seen a lot of Pirates shades repeated by other brands for their fall collections. I love pink polish so I had to have the Nice Stems Collection because I loved them all equally. The Miss Universe Collection is a big standout for me because the colors are so awesome in person.
